The Capitals crushed the Ducks 4-1

The Atlanta Capitals' offense had a big night, peppering the Point Mallard Ducks with 32 shots throughout the game. The Atlanta Capitals took the lead before the halfway point in the second on a goal from Dillon Steh.

Talon Medure contributed with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist) and Dillon Steh delivered for his team with 3 points (1 goal, 2 assists).

In the first period, Gustin opened the scoring for Atlanta with a goal at 15:58 with helpers from his linemates, Cornic and Nielsen.

During the second, Steh netted what turned out to be the game winning goal at 5:48 with a helper from defenseman Opie. Lopez finally put the Ducks on the board with a goal at 15:18 with assists from his teammates Udris and Wilks.

In the third period, Medure answered for the Capitals with a goal at 0:59 with assists from his linemates, Steh and Smith. Smith put in a goal at 16:42 with helpers from his linemates, Medure and Steh.

Atlanta’s victory was in no doubt helped out by Konin’s big night as he stopped 26 of the 27 shots he faced. Konin’s counterpart, Bernardini, also had a big night, managing to stop 28 of 32, but ultimately fell short.

This win brings the Atlanta Capitals’ record to (9-4-1-1).
