Steh's hat trick helped the Capitals crush the Spirit 11-1

Dillon Steh led the way with a hat trick as the Atlanta Capitals crushed the College Station Spirit 11-1 in a home game at Center Ice Arena in Atlanta. Besides, the Atlanta Capitals' offense had a big night, peppering the Spirit with 77 shots throughout the game. The Atlanta Capitals took the lead before the halfway point in the first on a goal from Dillon Steh and never looked back.

Talon Medure did his part, adding 3 points (2 goals, 1 assist) and Andrei Rusakov chipped in with 3 points (2 goals, 1 assist).

During the first period, Warner opened the scoring for the Capitals with a goal at 7:23 with helpers from his linemates, Rusakov and Smith. Steh put in what turned out to be the game winning goal at 9:28 with helpers from teammates Carlo and Opie. Johnson quickly followed with a goal at 9:56 with assists from his linemates, Nielsen and Ladzinski. Erickson quickly followed with a goal at 11:51 with helpers from Borhot and Bragg. Medure quickly followed with a goal at 12:16 with an assist from his teammate Steh. Ladzinski quickly followed with a goal at 14:14 with helpers from his linemates, Nielsen and Johnson.

In the second period, Steh scored a goal at 1:01 with assists from Medure and Moore. Cornic netted a goal at 11:51 with helpers from his linemates, Ladzinski and Smith.

In the third, Rusakov deposited a goal at 3:15 with assists from Smith and Opie. Steh quickly followed with a goal at 4:36 with helpers from his linemates, Gustin and Carlo. Rusakov scored a goal at 8:38 with an assist from Steh. Medure put in a goal at 17:56 with a helper from Carlo.

The Capitals’ victory was in no doubt helped out by Konin as he stopped 13 of the 14 shots he faced. Konin’s counterpart, Pehrson, also had a big night, managing to stop 66 of 77, but ultimately fell short.

This win brings the Atlanta Capitals’ record to (22-8-1-1).
