CAPS UPEND BLIZZARD 4-1 IN GAME 2 OF SHOWCASE

Atlanta, which found itself down a man often, weathered Alexandria's power play opportunities and emerged with a 4-1 victory.

Atlanta was led by Kyle Rimbach, who tallied one goal. Rimbach scored on the power play 2:41 into the second period to make the score 2-0 Atlanta. Atlanta had gotten the advantage when Alexandria's Mason Hautala was sent off for slashing. Alex Johanson picked up the assist.

Atlanta excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in eight chances.

Atlanta additionally got points from Johanson, who also grabbed one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Atlanta also had goals scored byJack Cleaver and Ross Bartlett, who each put in one. More assists for Atlanta came via Jacob RoersRiley Hummitsch, and Philip Pugliese, who each chipped in one.

“It was a good effort from our group, really proud of how we responded from our first game. Every game during these showcases are a different animal and we have to approach today with that mentality” said Head Coach Anthony Bohn.
