CAPS EDGE JR. PREDS 4-3

In a game where neither team could get a cushion, Atlanta edged Nashville with a 4-3 victory over Nashville.

Each team kept the other at bay throughout the game, and Philip Pugliese secured the win for Atlanta with a goal in the third period.

Atlanta pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 12 penalty minutes.

Atlanta was led by Pugliese, who finished with one goal. Pugliese scored 3:27 into the third period to make the score 4-3 Atlanta.

Atlanta's offense operated below its season average. Atlanta averages 6.3 goals per game.

Others who scored for Atlanta include were Alex Johanson with two, and Colin OConnor who put in one. In addition, Atlanta received assists from Drake Cartwright, who had one and Kyle Rimbach, who had two.

Nashville was helped by Trent Kulczyk, who racked up two goals. Kulczyk scored the first of his two goals on the power play at 18:07 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Nashville had gained a power play chance when Drew Kelly was whistled for roughing. Max Dorfman assisted on the tally. Kulczyk's next tally on the power play made the score 2-2 with 10:56 left in the second period. Kristers Petraskevis picked up the assist. Nashville also got points from Dorfman, who also had one goal and one assist. More assists for Nashville came via Peter CabalaLogan OremDylan Schmidt, and Colton Anderson, who contributed one each.

Atlanta registered one goal on three power play opportunities. Ricky Gonzalez made 21 saves for Nashville on 25 shots. Nashville incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
